Dina is a one-of-a-kind Physical Therapist. She has restored me back to full function following acute episodes of nerve pain and knee injuries on multiple occasions. Her total body approach is like none other, and I speak from a clinical perspective, as I too am a Physical Therapist. Both myself and many of my patients have benefitted from Dina’s therapeutic interventions and educational instruction. She has my highest recommendation.

Dina Katz is one of the most caring and brilliant PT practitioners I have ever been treated by. I have had a bad back for the last 12 years but with Dina’s help, I have been able to manage the symptoms and pain to the point where I live my life pain free. She treats with both the art and the science of a true helping professional. Dina has an amazing ability to create an atmosphere of tranquility, teaching and healing while providing treatment. I recommend Dina without any reservations.

Dina believes that PT should help her patients live well. She's done three things for me that few therapists do:

1. She approaches PT as "retraining" the body. It's not just the muscle, bone, or nerve that has been directly challenged. Because other body parts have strained to help. She considers all the interconnected parts and has gotten me back to where I want to be.
2. She assigns exercises that are accessible and practical and enjoyable. I personally like knowing what the "minimum" is, as well as what gets "extra credit" as it were. That's my quirk, and she used it in our work.
3. With her vast experience, she watches the big picture and encouraged me to raise things with my doctors.

Dina approaches her patients and her work holistically and I would trust her with my life.

What is your cleanliness protocol?

Door To Door Rehab has always kept immaculate standards including a sterilization process using an EPA-registered disinfectant.

What do I need to wear for my initial appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and a pair of socks. Every treatment course begins with a comprehensive evaluation.

Should I have any X-rays and MRI reports and list of medications with me?

Yes, please do. Although we can request these from your doctor or lab facility, it is better if you provide them for us during your first visit so that we can perform a more complete and accurate evaluation.

How long does each appointment last?

Generally, your initial appointment will last up to 2 hours. You will be evaluated, receive treatment, and given home instructions. Follow-up visit length will depend on various factors including the severity of your injury, your functional goals and your treatment plan. Whether 45 minutes or more, our effort is directed at a treatment program specific to you and your needs.

How frequent will my treatment be?

Treatment schedules vary. Every condition or surgery is different; therefore it is often dependent on multiple factors. We will work with you following your evaluation to best outline a plan specific to your condition.

What should I have accessible?

You will need to bring a photo ID, your insurance card if applicable, a prescription for therapy from your doctor if applicable, and your completed forms/paperwork. If you cannot access the forms, they will be provided to you on your first treatment.

Will my insurance cover my session?

Your private insurance plan may have some level of outpatient physical therapy benefits. Much of it depends on your health plan and what they are willing to cover. We submit to all insurance companies with out of network benefits. You will be responsible for the deductible and coinsurance if applicable. We will give you a list of questions to ask your insurance company and happy to assist you with this. We will speak with you beforehand so there are no surprises.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes, you can. The rates for your initial evaluation and subsequent visits should be discussed with your physical therapist. You will not be able to resubmit those services later to your insurance company.

Do I need a prescription from my doctor?

New Jersey is a direct access state, eliminating the need for a physician prescription for therapy. A major advantage to direct access is that patients see a decrease in their out-of-pocket costs by skipping a visit to their general practitioner for a referral. It also means that treatment can get underway faster. We will work with your physician directly or refer you to the appropriate specialist. Some private insurance plans still require a physician prescription after an initial evaluation. We will work with you to determine the necessary steps to take.

What are your hours?

Monday - Friday: 9am – 6pm with some early morning and later evening hours available upon request. Weekends: Saturday night and Sunday under special circumstances.

Are you licensed?

Yes, Dina is a licensed physical therapist in the state of New Jersey by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.

What type of equipment will you bring?

We offer the portability of an outpatient clinic, from the treatment table to the exercise equipment.
